SWEDISH HERITAGE
Sweden is well known for its unspoiled countryside and stunning natural environment. In order to protect this national asset Sweden has imposed some of the toughest environmental legislation in the world. For the Swedes, a walk in the forest, for exercise or to pick wild mushrooms and berries, is a national sport. The right of access, enshrined in law, means that everyone is free to roam, even in privately owned forests. Experiencing the tranquillity and stillness of the Swedish countryside is a special feeling. We are proud of our Swedish heritage, which can be seen in our products. All raw materials that can be grown in Sweden are sourced locally from farms in the vicinity of our factory in Vårgårda in the West of Sweden. Our factory is located in a beautiful rural setting. Here, as in the rest of Sweden, farmers use less chemicals than in other parts of the world and since the use of hormones and preventative antibiotics is prohibited our raw materials are of the highest quality.  Our company is the largest manufacturer of dog and cat food in Sweden and can boast a century of experience in animal food manufacturing. An expansion of our facility in 1992 means that we also have one of the most modern factories in Europe. The company was certified to ISO 9001 in 1995 and gained environmental certification to ISO 14001 in 2002. Like other leading, export oriented companies in Sweden quality is a prerequisite for our business. For us there is simply no other alternative. |
